In addition to the events, many activities are provided for the residents. Some include outings in the bus, while others are simple activities held in Armstrong Hall or in the Activities Center in Foskett Cottage. Here are just a few.
Most of the residents enjoy music and there is a regular event where a pianist comes to the home and coaches the residents to sing well-known songs. Singing seems to raise their spirits and is much enjoyed by everyone.
British Home residents so enjoyed driving down Sierra Madre Boulevard in celebration of July 4th in 2021. World War II vehicles, kindly loaned for the parade, just added to the excitement and made the day even more special.
Outings are always exciting and each year the residents are taken to view the marvelous floral floats from Pasadena’s famous Rose Parade. They get to walk along close up to the exotic blooms and the amazing colors.
