The British Home in the mid -1920s was a dream, a big dream and brainchild of the Daughters of the British Empire in California, which became a reality after a hard struggle accumulating the money to purchase the first property which in turn, had taken a long search before finding the desired site for such an extraordinary enterprise.

Today, two and a half acres of well-tended gardens and landscape surround five separate cottages, with their own charm and story to tell; each with its own tastefully decorated lounge, modern kitchen and individual en-suite bedrooms with private baths. These comfortable cottages also avail twenty-four hour assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and a LVN on site seven days a week.
